The Luminous Mysteries - Meditations of Bl. Fr. Ignacy Kłopotowski

The Baptism of Jesus in the Jordan

We love so many things in the world, why do we treat one love like a stepchild – the love of our own soul, washed clean at holy baptism? Or perhaps we are afraid that it might want to rule over us? That it might tame our body too much? Whoever truly loves God should come to love their own soul and, with the help of God's grace, guide it into heaven. The homeland of the soul is heaven.

The Wedding at Cana

The poor host of the wedding accepted his situation, he did not complain about his lack of wealth – and by submitting to God's will, he deserved to have the Lord Jesus perform His first miracle in his home. Through Mary's intercession, our Savior will come to our aid in a way better than we expect or seek from people.

The Proclamation of the Kingdom of God

Let us convert to God. Let us serve Him to the very last moment out of love, let us strain toward Him with all the powers of our soul. Whoever is a father or mother of a family, let them arrange family prayer and shared spiritual reading at home. I strongly encourage you to read good books and Catholic publications.

The Transfiguration

We must transform our lives. A sinner, if he returns to his sins, becomes worse than he was; he forms a vice within himself, that is, a habit of doing evil. Let us pay close attention to our vices, so that above all we may be cured of them through confession, constant vigilance, and mindfulness of the presence of God.

The Institution of the Eucharist

Holy Communion restrains our passions and overcomes temptations. It brings salvation not only to our soul, but also to our body, for it guarantees it a glorious resurrection. Try to attend Holy Mass every morning. Jesus Christ is calling you; this God of love desires that you benefit from the merits of His passion.
