The Glorious Mysteries - Meditations of Bl. Fr. Ignacy Kłopotowski

The Resurrection

We are living in a moment of turning point. We constantly speak of the resurrection of our Homeland, but we see that first we ourselves must rise from the dead – rekindle within us faith and noble feelings, unite in work for the Homeland. Now more than ever, we need brave, honest, and devoted people. No one must lose hope for a better tomorrow.

The Ascension

Do not complain that you are poor and mean nothing. It is easier for you to enter heaven. If people praise you – do not exalt yourself, if they criticize you – do not worry; you are what you are in the eyes of God. The less recognition and gratitude from people, the more abundant the reward in heaven for each of our beautiful deeds. One does not become a saint after death, but during life.

The Descent of the Holy Spirit

If so far we have not benefited from the Holy Spirit coming upon us, let us ask Mary that through Her intercession He may descend upon us. Let us prepare ourselves well for His coming through prayer. The Lord Jesus tells us to call God Father in prayer. He asks us to go to Him with the same trust with which a son goes to his Father. Everyone who prays in this way receives everything.

The Assumption of Mary

How many proud people have become humble through devotion to Mary, how many quick-tempered have become gentle, how many blind have regained their sight, how many lukewarm have become fervent, and how many sinners She Herself has pulled from the abyss of sin and led to the height of perfection. Let us place all our affairs into the hands of Immaculate Mary.

The Coronation of Mary as Queen of Heaven and Earth

Let us persevere in devotion to Mary, and we will find peace of heart that the world cannot give us. Polish hearts are good soil for religious truth and for the sowing of grace with which God has helped us through the ages. Lift up your hearts, our beloved nation! Our Gracious Monarch will be for us – as She has been for centuries – our Comforter and Helper. Let us not lose hope.
