The Luminous Mysteries - Meditations of Bl. M. Franciszka Siedliska

The Baptism of Jesus in the Jordan

Out of love for the Eternal Father, out of love for the human race, the Lord Jesus left the quiet and hidden life of Nazareth and dedicated Himself to living among people, teaching them, bearing with their frailties and harshness, and in all this His purpose was to fulfill the desire of His Heavenly Father. He gave and dedicated Himself as a sacrifice of love. Therefore, you too, give and continually offer yourself for the service of the Lord Jesus, without looking at yourself and regardless of yourself.

The Wedding at Cana

Following Him, we walk safely, we will not go astray. His teaching is nothing but truth, His model is holiness, His love is happiness and the contentment of the heart. This is the secret of love: for the love of the Beloved, to fulfill His most holy will, in whatever way it is revealed to us. To a soul that seeks itself in nothing, but seeks the fulfillment of God's will-even if it should cost it much to perform what the Lord God demands-to such a soul the Lord Jesus will always deign to grant the knowledge of His most holy will, and He will not allow it to depart from God's way; and if through frailty it should fall for a moment, the Lord Jesus will enlighten it, give it this understanding, and draw it to Himself.

The Proclamation of the Kingdom of God

The Lord Jesus prompted me to frequently reaffirm that I am His, that I belong to Him and, together with Him, by His grace, His might, and strength, I want to fight and stand against the world, sin, and myself, in order to cleanse myself and be transformed into a new person after the likeness of Christ the Lord.

The Transfiguration

I only desire that your hearts, rising higher, seek ”the things that are above,” long for what is above, and pursue it. Rise above nature, the flesh, and the world! Rise above yourselves, and let Christ the Lord plant the banner of victory in your hearts. Let Him conquer, let Him rule, let Him reign as King in you. I beg the Lord Jesus that He may deign to draw the faculties of my soul to Himself, at least during prayer, so that they are occupied with nothing else but Him.

The Institution of the Eucharist

May the Lord Jesus, hidden in the Most Blessed Sacrament, be your love, your refuge, your model, your life. Draw everything from Him: strength, grace, love. Unite yourself most closely with Him. Live His life, for He Himself said: He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him (Jn 6:56). May the Lord Jesus always dwell in you, and may you always be with Him and in Him.
