The Resurrection
Through the death and resurrection of Christ, the symbol of shame and humiliation became a symbol of courage, fortitude, help, and brotherhood. In the sign of the cross we embrace today what is most beautiful and valuable in man. Through the cross one goes to the resurrection. There is no other way. And that is why the crosses of our Homeland, our personal crosses, the crosses of our families must lead to victory, to resurrection, if we unite them with Christ, who conquered the cross.
The Ascension
The Ascension is showing once again – and at the same time sealing – the way to the Father's house… It is a strange way. Although simple and clear, it is directed toward many goals and directions: it is a way to every person; it is a way during which Christ constantly accompanies us… sustaining us with the food of His Body and Blood, so that we do not grow weary.
The Descent of the Holy Spirit
The coming of the Holy Spirit is the birth of the Church. On that day the doors of the Upper Room, where until then the frightened Apostles had remained, opened… Behold, suddenly something wonderful and completely incomprehensible happens: they gain extraordinary courage and begin to speak boldly to the crowds…
Is there a language understood throughout the whole circle of the earth, for all people, for every race, religion, and continent? There is such a language whose code we learn from childhood: it is the language of love. Knowledge of this language is wonderfully developed during prayer – a love-filled conversation with God, who loved us to the end; during every Eucharist, which is a feast of love; and every reading of Holy Scripture, written in the most beautiful language – of love.
The Assumption of Mary
You know, Mother, that a Nation that has suffered so much in its history, that has achieved so many victories, that has made such a great contribution to the culture of Europe and the world, that has produced and continues to produce so many wonderful people, that finally gave the world a Pope who astonishes this world – such a Nation, no nation at all, must not be mistreated. No satanic force will bring such a Nation to its knees by violence. This Nation has proven that it bends its knees only before God. And that is why we believe that God Himself will intercede for it.
The Coronation of Mary as Queen of Heaven and Earth
You have been Mother and Queen throughout the centuries… We entrust to You, Mother of Christ, the bitterness of helplessness and humiliation that so many sisters and brothers in our Homeland continue to experience… We entrust all the wrongs done to the Nation… We entrust the hope for a better tomorrow. The hope for the reconciliation of the Nation in the spirit of love, but also in the spirit of justice, for we know that it cannot exist without justice… All of this today, on the day of entrusting the whole world to Your Immaculate Heart, we place in Your maternal hands and ask that You lay it at the feet of Your Son Jesus Christ to implore for our Homeland a time of resurrection to true freedom, justice, and peace. Amen.
