The Joyful Mysteries - Meditations of Franciszek Blachnicki
The Annunciation
Mary, thanks to God's grace, was preserved from original sin and its consequences, but She knew that this was not Her merit, that it was grace. How difficult it is for us to bring ourselves to a sincere recognition of this truth. One can repeat to oneself a hundred times that without grace we are capable of nothing, yet in practice we constantly build on ourselves.
The Visitation
Christ is not for the chosen few. He came to save all people, and He loves most those who need His help the most, who are the sickest, the furthest from Him. He comes to heal, liberate, lift up, and save. There is no complexity that He could not transform.
The Nativity of Jesus
God became man. Are we a new creation in Christ? The mark of a new person is that although they fall, because they still bear the yoke of the old self, they fundamentally live for God. God is someone worth living and making sacrifices for.
The Presentation of Jesus in the Temple
We must reach such a way of living that we have nothing to be ashamed of, nothing to hide, nothing to fear, so that we submit everything to God's light, for there is still darkness within us. This is the offering of a whole life lived in accordance with God's will.
The Finding of Jesus in the Temple
Only in daily life, in concrete efforts to build unity with our brothers and sisters, do we find God. If we do not do this, if we do not realize true community and unity with our brothers and sisters, we live in an illusion. Even if we were to receive Holy Communion daily, we would still be living in error.
