The Resurrection

Christ has risen from the dead. We live this mystery of faith every day when we rise from our falls and weaknesses. When, despite everything, we pick ourselves up so as not to give up, and live in hope. When we conquer evil with good. When we conquer hatred with love. In the passing form of temporality, we build an eternal existence in love with Christ.

Let us pray for the victory of life over death in each of us on a daily basis.

The Ascension

The Ascension of the Lord Jesus bids us, who follow Him, to ascend to heaven. Before we attain Christ's heaven, we have a duty to make heaven within and around ourselves. When, in the name of Christ, we forgive one another's faults and offenses, we create within and around ourselves a true heaven, which is the vestibule of heaven in eternity. This heaven can no longer be lost.

Let us pray for the strength to forgive our debtors, and to refrain from holding our neighbors' offenses against them.

The Descent of the Holy Spirit

This is a great feast of love and creativity. A massive outpouring of fire and flames. We feel enveloped by this warmth and swept into a whirlwind of creativity that gives us wings and elevates us. Enthusiasm and passion make people in the likeness of God the Creator. It brings to mind the entire Most Holy Trinity and the boundless possibilities in love and creativity.

Let us pray for the grace to participate in God's love and creativity.

The Assumption of Mary

This is the consequence of the Immaculate Conception. That which is without sin does not pass away, does not decay. The fruits of grace and contemplation endure forever. They do not become obsolete or destroyed. Popular imagination developed this truth earlier than scholarship. The joyful funeral of Mary is not a funeral at all, but a triumphal procession to the Father's house. Amid joyful singing and wedding music, among flowers and dancing, we escort Mary to the Father's house. She precedes us, and longing becomes the measure of our love.

Let us pray for the grace of a sinless life for all of us.

The Coronation of Mary as Queen of Heaven and Earth

To crown Mary in one's heart more than in a picture or a statue. More with love than with gold and precious stones. More with good deeds than with fading flowers. To crown means to elevate, to give priority in truth, not just for show. We elevate Mary because she elevated Christ in her life. She lifted Him up when He was a very small Child. She supported Him when He was taken down from the cross.

Let us pray that our entire life may be one great elevation of Christ.
