The Agony in the Garden

Do not fear sacrifice. Love that is incapable of sacrifice is not love. It is hypocrisy and a lie. Kneel before the Father and accept His will out of love for God and your brothers. Accept with Me the pain that will become salvation for them and sanctification for you. This will cleanse you and set many free.

The Scourging at the Pillar

Surrender your body and your soul to be scourged. Accept the blows with love. Submerge them in love. Repay every blow with love. Pray that the love within you may be greater than the wounds of hearts that breed evil and commit injustice.

The Crowning with Thorns

Submissively accept the crown of thorns of humiliation, irony, and injustice. Forgive and love. Your weapon is prayer, and I am your shield. I am your only glory, the brilliance of your name, and the truth about you. I am, though I am hidden-not those whom you see.

The Carrying of the Cross

Go, persevere on your way behind Me. Be faithful in your small everyday life, and be faithful when the enormity of my cross presses you to the ground. The way of the cross of your life continues, and it contains all those stations that were on my way of the cross. And I am there: your life, and Mary is there: your help, and people are there: co-sharers in your labor.

The Crucifixion and Death of Jesus

Do not fear giving up your human life to save the Divine life within you and within your brothers. Do not fear loving to the end. Deny yourself and surrender yourself to God, so that through you the great work of God, to which I have called and created you, may be accomplished. You are on the Mount of Transfiguration; here the final act of your cleansing pain takes place. Here the old man dies within you. Here my resurrection is born within you.
