The Joyful Mysteries - Meditations as an Examination of Conscience
The Annunciation
Mary accepts the word of God - and willingly responds to it.
Is my prayer time truly time for God? Do I meditate on the word of God, and how do I do so? How do I respond to God's call (e.g., to do good)?
The Visitation
Mary goes with haste to help her relative - St. Elizabeth.
Am I selfish? Do I willingly dedicate time to my neighbor? Do I look around me for people I could help?
The Nativity of Jesus
Jesus is born humble, in poverty.
Do I demand excessive privileges for myself? How do I treat the people around me, my subordinates?
The Presentation of Jesus in the Temple
The Holy Family presents their beloved Child in the Temple.
Do I entrust everything I have to God? Do I ask Him for help in various situations (both in difficult moments and in the routine of everyday life)?
The Finding of Jesus in the Temple
The earthly guardians of Jesus find Him in the Temple after searching for three days.
Do I meet with God in church, or am I there merely out of habit? Do I deepen my knowledge of the liturgy? Do I seek time in my day for Jesus?
