The Joyful Mysteries - Fatima Meditations
The Annunciation
Hail, full of grace! Hail, Virgin and Mother! Hail, Immaculate Mary! The Lord is with you! He chose you as a holy vessel worthy to carry the Most High. You became God's gateway to us and our gateway to heaven. You rejoice in the love of your husband, St. Joseph, and in the gift of motherhood from the Holy Spirit. Obtain from God the grace of love for all spouses. Support them in their daily lives, so that they remain faithful to each other and raise their children well.
The Visitation
Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb! Blessed are you who believed that what the Lord said to you would be fulfilled! Mother of the Church and Queen of the Apostles! You go to Elizabeth and carry Christ. You are led by the Holy Spirit. Be with us as we go out into a world that rejects the truth about marriage as a union between a man and a woman. Be with us when we want to support families affected by alcoholism, separation, and division.
The Nativity of Jesus
Hail, Mother of the Lamb and Shepherd! Hail, you who bear for us the Giver of life! Hail, joy of human generations! Thanks to you, the Creator became a creature and elevated man to the dignity of a child of God. Over Bethlehem, the angels sang: Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests. Through your intercession, we pray that in every family God may be glorified, and that parents and children may enjoy the blessing of peace.
The Presentation of Jesus in the Temple
O Mary, immaculately conceived! Rose of angelic purity! Devoted to God without reserve. You go with St. Joseph to the temple to present to the Lord the One you bore. Lead all spouses to the house of God and teach them to entrust their children to the best of Fathers. May Sunday be a holy day for every family, a time dedicated to the Lord. We ask this through the intercession of your faithful servant, St. John Paul II, who lovingly repeated the words: I am totally yours.
The Finding of Jesus in the Temple
O our Lady! Our Advocate! Our Mediatrix! Our Consoler! Together with St. Joseph, you experienced comfort when, after three days of searching, you found Jesus in the temple. He returned home with you and was obedient to you. Mary, we entrust all children to you today. Obtain for them from God a beautiful and happy childhood. May they grow up surrounded by love, protected from evil, and making the world a better place.
